Unhappy Is GS300 in danger? Crown/Mark X/Majesta recalled

Not sure if this is a repost since the recall was made a month ago, but I just heard about it.
The info is available only in Japanese:
http://toyota.jp/recall/2005/0531.html

Basically it is about a fuel leak from injection that results in power loss, and rear suspension misalignment or something. Not exactly sure.

Surely not a good news to the close sibling GS300. Is a GS300 recall near?

This is unlikely for the GS because the manufacture dates are most likely earlier than the production GS we're getting now.

The suspension system I don't know, but the GS300 does share the same drivetrain and powertrain with the Crown series and Mark X.
On a closer look, the recall seems to affect only vechicles produced before January 15th this year, so the GS300 is probably not affected after all.

GRS190 is the basic model code for the RWD GS 300. The full code is: GRS190L - BETQHA.

L = Steering wheel position: Left-hand Drive
B = Model Name: GS 300
E = Body Type: 4-door Sedan
T = Gear shift type: 6AT, Floot
Q = Grade: (N/A)
H = Engine Spec: H: DOHC SFI and Direct Injection
A = Destination: USA/Canada

I think the GS went into production in late December/early January... so we may see a Special Service Campaign soon. I'll keep the 3GS forum updated if/when I hear anything As you all know, Lexus is on the ball when it comes to recalling vehicles

Thanks for the great info, Jeff. I think the only reason we aren't seeing the GS300 on that recall list is that the GS isn't on sale in Japan yet. If the GS300 did start production before Jan. 15th, a recall is indeed likely and imminent.

Haven't heard anything yet but will let you guys know what surfaces....

The latest campaign I was informed of was the 5LB, daytime running lights pertaining to the LX470's.....
