Lexus kicking butt in Northern Ohio
Just read in the Cleveland Plain Dealer newspaper this morning the following first half year 2005 auto sales results for Northern Ohio. Too much to list, so I'll just show Lexus and it's main competition:
Lexus, 1,787 cars sold, 0% increase from year 2004 first half (gain less than 1%)
Cadillac, 1,795 sold, 5% increase
Acura, 1,226 sold, 28% increase
BMW, 995 sold, -11% decrease
Audi, 660 sold, 9% increase
Lincoln, 640 sold, -17% decrease
Mercedes, 622 sold, +6 increase
Infiniti, 362 sold, -13% decrease (no wonder I haven't seen a single new M35/45 on the road yet)
Jaguar, 186 sold, -50% decrease (holy cow!)
Note: Northern Ohio covers a 19 county area.

Northern Ohio....especially from Toledo eastward near Lake Erie....is prime Snow Belt country, so I would imagine the AWD RX330 sells very well there....although some of the awful pothole-filled roads in that area are probably more suitable for the truck-based GX470 or the LX470.
