you know they've had this car out for so long, I bet they got bored and decided to go at it again . Honestly, though, the RB26 > pretty much any other forced induction, production engine out there when modding. Kudos to NISMO.
BTW, I did a search, nothing came up.

2JZ anyone? the RB26 motor, while in the same basic L6 layout as a 2JZ is not nearly AS strong as a 2JZ block. most tend to have mech. failures around Max 700-800hp on stock internals. the 2JZ regularly pulls these numbers and has been seen to hit 900-1000 on stock internals for a good long time (20k mi+)
a fully built and street legal RB would max out at around 1000-1200 crank HP,
a fully built and street legal 2JZ would max out (and has) at OVER 1800 crank HP.
gods i love 'yota's
but i still love you Nissan

when would you ever need 1800 hp on the street? 500-600 hp is already an incredible amount for any street car... anything over that amount is really pushing it...
when you say over 1000 hp, we're talking dragsters...
i agree when you say the 2jz is superior over the RB, but unless we're talking about taking these cars to the track for drags, there really is never any point to make the car push out anymore than 600 hp. That is enough to take anything out on the street.
2JZ-GTE > RB

I could really go into an indepth discussion on how much BETTER the 2jz is than the RB26 is, but its been hit upon many times at supraforums

600hp wont beat a bike, 600hp wont beat certain exotics...
1000hp is doable on the street; there's PLENTY of supras over there that make that kind of power (and plenty that make even more)
And they arent talking dragsters either... these are street-driven machines that can run on premium gas at the pump (of course they make the most power on race gas)
