Thumbs up 1991 Toyota MR2 -- Jet Powered!

i've always enjoyed the MR2, but i've never seen one JET POWERED! it's a bargain, only $18,500! if the link need to be removed i (or a mod) can change it to the listing number only if needed... i'm never sure what's "ok" and what isn't when it comes to ebay.

LINK

The picture above almost look fake until you see the rest of the car in the link. That's hardcore. A+ for effort.

Now for the finishing touches....the tailhook, catapult hookup, and missiles.

Question: where does he get his air flow from? I get the feeling those jet engines are... limited in what they produce in trust.

I seriously doubt this car is functional. How do you stop in emergency? Would the driver or anyone close by get sucked into the engine in a crash? Would the jet engine suck up all the debris and trash from the road surface? What kind of fuel do you use and from where? Would the engine exhaust 'burn' the cyclists behind you?

almost all of your questions are answered in his ebay post. it is functional, it has brakes and a parachute installed, i doubt you'd use it on ANY public roads, i don't think it'd suck up debris as it's too busy shooting thrust out, you use jet A fuel from an airport, and for the last question go back to my comment on not using it on a public road. he said he used it mainly on the salt flats of utah.
