So what does everyone think about this new Hummer H3?? Today I have seen 3. Two in black, and the other in red. But what caught me off guard is that I saw all 3 of them in Manhattan. The least off road place in America(well, those potholes are pretty damn serious). Even with the gas prices as high as they are now, people still love huge SUV's.
Anyway, I first saw the truck at the NY Auto show back in April, and it really looked small. Like Land Rover Freelander small. After seeing them today, I take back what I siad. This truck is freakin HUGE!! Its actually a good looking truck, and I really like the short windows and fender flairs(from certain angles). For some reason the truck looks kind of sporty. But in usual HUMMER fashion, it will probably get played the hell out real quick(FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, NO RIMS AND SPINNERS PLEASE!!!). The price seems extremely competitive starting at 29K and fully loaded around 35K. Thats not to bad and it comes well equipped as well. However, the biggest mistake is the super weak engine. 3.5L I5 from the Canyon and Colorado. That engine had trouble pulling those lighter pick ups around, and its certainly going to choke with this heavier body.
Cool looking truck, but i will probably hate it in 2 months.
What do yall think????

I hate the GM Hummers. They pale in comparrison to the real thing, and the build quality is crap. Just touch the plastic used on the bumpers. Cheap!! By its very nature a real Hummer should be loud, uncomfortable, and inpractical.
Though it is a rare occurance, I never tire of seeing a real Hummer pull up next to one of these Hummer babies at a stop light. The big guys just tear away any "tough" image the little ones try and cling to.

I had pretty high hopes when it was first announced with the smaller dimensions and better gas milage and low price, in fact I even told my wife that we would replace our LX470 next year with a H3.
Then the other day I drove past a parked one and thought it was a Chevy Trailblazer
No H3 for me.

It looks decent, then again its a GM. You can probably get one for like 10 dollars or something and then it will still have problems.....

What the hell is the point of making a hummer small? From the H1 to the H2 to this wanna be Jeep... If people wanted to get something that looks, drives, and is the same size as a Jeep, maybe THEY WOULD GET A JEEP. And that huge fenders they put on the sides to make it look bigger... whats up with that
If you want to make it look big, why not actually make it big in the first place like the H3

This is and always will be the buying of a name, and not a vehicle. It's just GM's way of selling more tahoes.
