I havea feeling TOM`S is somehow closely connnected to Toyota.


Anyone else think so?

 

I believe TOM's is a seperate company but works with Toyota just like Prodrive works with Subaru.

 

Thats what im thinking also. I started to come up with what those letter stood for a LONG time ago... I came up with Toyotas Only Motor Sports.

 

TOMS = Toyota Motorsports
NISMO = Nissan Motorsports

They just take the 1st part of each word and combine them thats all.

 

So i wasnt TOO far off... WOO HOO!!!

 

tom's is an independent company, but they have been around for some time.

only TRD and TTE are owned by Toyota

 

Sorry the first part is incorrect. TRD Japan and USA works in conjunction w/Toyota Motorsports as they are a subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation.

TOM's makes exclusive parts for Toyota but it's like Brabus for Mercedes Benz...a whole seperate entity. TOM's is an abbreviation of Tachi Oiwa Motor Sport. Hence the name TOMS.
