I had a thing for the way Pagani's have looked for a long time. Can someone school me on some facts? I know that they come with AMG V12s and so forth. Please school me with price, how it started, whats so unique, etc. I am so without it. Thanks.

Sure. Pagani is the new "SUPERCAR" in Modena. The company is founded by Horacio Pagani. He was born in Brazil and was into cars his whole life. At the age of 20 he built and was racing his own car. He befriended a high-profile Brazillian racer (I forgot his name) who hooked him up with Lamborghini. It is said he packed, when to Italy, arrived and said "I don't care if I start sweeping floors, I am here to build the most beautiful car".

He was one of the first people to work on composites, i.e CARBON FIBER on production cars. His first effort was the 25th anniversay Countach. It weighed 400lbs less than the regular model!! He designed Lamborghinis and saw carbon fiber as the future.

He started his own carbon-fiber building company that even today, Lamborghinii contracts with. It took him 12 years to build the Zonda. He is, like Lexus, ABOUT THE DETAILS!! The cars are crafted by hand and everything has to be perfect. The cars are selling VERY well for him.

The name ZONDA is after a Brazillian Wind. He chose the V-12 AMG engine b/c the friend that hooked him up with Lamborgnini raced for Mercedes and said " If you build a car, it HAS to have a Mercedes engine". So he got hooked up there as well.

Currently he is working on the Zonda F, more power, its lighter, 20" wheels. He just started making the Zonda convertible, which b/c of the carbon fiber is as rigid as the coupe.

EVO and CAR claim this is the NEW top dog Supercar. THey love it.

I don't think they are street legal in the U.S., and they are completely privately manufactured I believe.

Correct, Pagani is working on federalization in the USA.
There is a story of one customer who is an American and has a Zonda coupe and convert and leaves them in Europe and flies over to drive them when he wants. That is total ****.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe they are street legal here, Wyclef Jean has one. I think Paul Walker also owns one.

I saw cribs, and Wyclef didn't have a Zonda at that time, he did have a McLaren F1 though.

You're right, actually there are 4 currently in the U.S. according to my google search, But just because they have them does that have to mean that they are street legal?

both articles are saying 2006 for a stateside LEGAL Pagani Zonda.

Supposedly his (Wyclef's) is, he keeps it in Miami. It is at alot of the DUB magazine shows too.

I saw the Pagani Zonda in person recently, and its looks INCREDIBLE..........Its definitely one of the best supercars of all time in both performance and styling.
