Next Acura NSX Confirmed to have a V10
Takeo Fukui, CEO of Honda announced today in his Mid-Year-Update speech that Honda's goal for the next NSX will be to have a V10 engine! And I thought my joke about Honda never claiming they wern't going to make a V10 was just a joke!! I guess they wern't kidding when they said the next NSX will make a spalsh as big as the original one did in 1990.

The V8 should come out before any supposed V10. They are already testing a V8 in the Ridgeline. speculation is that this V8 actually could come out in the RL before the and SUV/Truck cars though. If that is the case, that would be good news as well.

Guys...take almost any prediction about a new NSX or its powertrain....even from Honda management........with a grain of salt. There have been more up-and-down predictions and announcements about this car in the last 2-4 years than you can shake a stick at. Even this one, if you read it, only mentions a new NSX, an NSX successor, or a V-10 as " goals " or " something we would like to do ". I just don't see anything really definite or committal even here in the CEO's words. If you guys believe, it.....fine. I gotta play Doubting Thomas on this one. I won't believe it until I actually see one.....in the showroom or on a dealer lot, not just up on a turntable at a major auto show surrounded by glamour girls.

I know what you're saying about the flip-flops on a new NSX in the past, but none were as "official " as this & the one posted on their website a few days ago, so we're hoping it's gonna be more definite this time. It's gonna take another 3-4 years, I guess we' ll have to wait & see . . .
