It would've sold like hot cakes to people looking for an Elise but can't/don't want to spend that much money.

I saw a stock Silver MR-S in traffic today and it looked grrreat! Granted, it needs wider wheels/tires.....etc. and that alone will be a pleasing to look at upgrade. It's not as cute as a Miata, though.
With a couple of mods the car can pack a lil more punch and still be reliable.
