Cool

I hope they offer the Jetta with a V6 in the future......from what I have read thus far of the new model, it's very underpowered.

Hate the design of the new model. The last gen was much better looking. I know many agree that it looks like the Corolla, but it just doesn't get mentioned that often. And it looks more like it in person then even in the pictures.

They should bring the VR6 back into the A5, it's IMO the best VW engine out there.

The new 3.2 does its job well. It puts out a good amount of power for a V6. The 2.8 VR6 never really was a threat to anything, sporting usually less than 200 hp. 2.8 is too small for a V6 in a larger vehicle such as the Passat or the A6.

I saw the new Jettarolla today. The front end looks really awkward with the chrome grille. And the rear tailights had some altezza's of some sort.

I think the previous generation looked much sportier. Sorry VW. You geta on this one.

That chrome grille does NOT look good on that car, unless it's in silver. It really throws off the color balance as there really isn't much else that IS chrome on the vehicle. It kinda throws back to vintage 70's cars with chrome bumpers

First off, before we go there, I would say the new Jetta is hated on the VW forum.

2nd, I saw it in person inside and out. I've seen it on the move. This is one UGLY car. I mean ugly. It is so ungainly, the proportions are ALL WRONG. the TOYOTA COROLLA is not a classic design, Mr. VW. This looks EXACTLY like it? Where the HELL did the German proportionas and stance go?

The interior in the last gen was way ahead of its competition but they have caught up. YOu can't rely on that. THe car is underpowered. Even with the engines coming, I mean, cough cough, HELLLO, Acura TSX.

This is one of the worst new cars I can think of. It has almost NOTHING going for it.

Top it off with anticipated ****ty quality, and well. sorry

A lot will depend on future gas prices...which don't look very encouraging. V6 Jettas are not very popular in Europe and probably will not be popular here much longer either as gas prices keep rising. VW buyers who want the V6 in this size car will probably end up looking at the GTI and R32 anyway.
To some extent the TDI diesel solves the power problem with plenty of low-end torque...and great mileage to boot......but admittedly suffers from low power at higher speeds.

This VW Jetta is actually fuel efficient for once. That's one thing that VW could never get right with their gasoline engines.
