The front looks pretty good but the rear is pure VW. Seriously doubt they will end up looking anything like that.

I don't like the rear of both either, but many of autobild's renditions have been quite close to the actual cars in the past . . .

That's the first I've seen of the E90 coupe. I <3 that M1 though

No bangle-butt. from me.

While I agree the tails are too far from BMW styling, the rest is sweet and to me the direction all new Bimmers should have gone.

That rear end, for some reason, reminds me of the Avalon. I don't know why.

the rears on both cars are ugly... the fronts are acceptable. i dunno about the side profile... especially on the M3.

I actually like the M1 alot. Is this going to be produced? I am guessing that it will have a smaller price tag than the M3? I just dont like the rear half of the M3. Those tails are hideous and the rear bumper has way too much going on

Noone ever likes the redesign of anything, then after you see it a while it grows on you and you love it usually. It's hard to say anything about most new designs until you have a while for it to sink in.

I can count 20 cars i hated at first, and now love. On the lower left pic, the front has an E46 feel to it, and that part i love immediately.

M3 looks like it has Phaeton tails
M1 looks like a mix between new Jetta and Z4 tails
