That's pretty cool actually. Something about it whispers "6 series" to me.

Looks like it'll be a nice little convertible, but with the retractablel hardtop it seems like they'll need more torque than they're known for. I'm sure this design will also push the price well north of the "typical" Volkswagen value.

I hope so too.

It's a cute design, but looks tiny. I love that panoramic roof.

Yup, priced right, this'll definitely be a hit.

Again, that is if it's priced right.

that was definitely NOT what i was expecting to see... it's better! maybe this will help to shed the "women only" stereotype the car has now.

Exactly what I was thinking. The new Passat and the new Jetta are definitely more masculine-oriented styling.

Well, whatever the price may be, it's going to be by far the cheapest hardtop convertible out there.

Not if this comes out first. At $19k it's impossible to beat.

Are these Chery vehicles projected to be reliable? I thought I read somewhere that they were aiming at Japanese quality with Korean/Chinese affordability.

Don't really know how reliable they are, but from what I' ve read, they plan to match the 10 year warranty that the Koreans are offering on their cars.

What? They're curvier than ever, and the new Jetta looks like a Corolla, not the first car I think of when I think of manly cars.

I dunno... maybe we have different defintions of manly cars. I never really viewed the previous gen VW's as "manly" cars... that's where Audi came in.
