Toyota will replace Echo Hatchback with all-new Yaris
Toronto, Ontario - Toyota Motor Europe will present the world premiere of the all-new Yaris, in three- and five-door hatchback configurations, at the Frankfurt International Motor Show in September. Toyota Canada will launch the Yaris this fall as a replacement for the Echo Hatchback. The Yaris will feature dynamic exterior styling, a roomy interior, precise handling, class-leading safety features and outstanding fuel economy, according to the company.
Both vehicles featured at the press conference will have European specifications.
Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) will launch the all-new Yaris in Canada this fall as its entry in the extremely popular sub-compact segment replacing Echo Hatchback. With the introduction of Yaris, Toyota will again raise the bar and set a new standard in the segment. Yaris will feature dynamic exterior styling, a roomy and chic interior, precise handling, class-leading safety features and outstanding fuel economy.

And WHY does Toyota insist on sticking with the weirdo center stack? The exterior is cool. But damn that center stack!!!

The outside is okay. I personally dont expect a cheap car like this to be a big styling trend, but I can say with confidence that its the best looking in its class.
Im not a big fan of center mounted gauges as well as I think they are stupid, but I read a while back in a study conducted that people that bought cars with center mounted guages actually prefer the position over the conventional way.

Looks real good and practical to me. ENORMOUS rear leg room and plenty of cargo space.
It will do MUCH better than the ECHO IMO.

I'm seeing Yaris's (Yarrii? ) all over Toronto already. I'm not sure when they went on sale but Toyota has been promoting them heavily on TV and through local ads, and they're right in front of all the dealerships. I think there are 2 or 3 in my hood already. Actually there is this black one with (I think) 17 inch wheels that looks pretty badass. Not sure how practical they are though!

Why can't Toyota agree on a standard front grill that will create a "family " design for all their cars? There is a chaotic mix of classic, sporty, and futuristic grills; it's confusing!!!
