So today i was having a very intellectual discussion on springs and shocks at the beach...

i wont go into details, but i almost didn't give them a ride home (yes we are that petty...)

anyways they said that regardless of stock or aftermarket shocks, the shocks go bad around 40K miles if you lower the car right?

I was thinking if you just got eibach springs on stock shocks...the shocks will blow in 40K miles. If you got aftermarket shocks, they'll blow in 40K miles.

If you got coilovers....they'll all go to **** in 40K miles...

WTF? is 40K miles the magic number for ****blown shocks or what?

ya, no ****, huh. With that kind of money to throw away you can most definitely afford konis. Those will last a lil longer than 40k miles.

i got coilovers bythe way hahahah you gotta go fully adjustable...no way would i get just springs

back in the day, i had eibach springs on my honda with everything else stock. i rode on that setup for 150,000 miles before i traded it in. sure the camber was way off and i ran through a few sets of tires due to uneven wear, but the shocks never blew or even made any funny noises etc. true story.
