Having owned both cars, it's not very hard to decide. I loved my S2000...great handling, wonderfully shifting transmission, nice styling...unfortunately, huge lack of tourque. This can be fixed with a decent amount of bolt on parts. The Supra, again, good handling, great tranny, beautiful styling....TONS of power. The handling can be made that of an S2000 for much less than you'd expect. My vote is for the Supra.

Just decide which kind of people you'd like to associate with.
AHHHHHHHHH, SUPRA ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to all who posted...Got a few facts that i didn't know before...

This is a opininated subject...Of course some people will post supra becuase they just love it...Some will post S2000 becuase they just love it...
Doesn't really help, as both cars are really superb and any car enthusiast would like em....And either choice i go i won't be dissappointed...

But thanks for those who posted and backed up their arguments. This definately helped give me more insight to this complexity of mine...S2000 or Supra(Its definately tearing me apart)

Keep the info. coming....

Thanks Again,
~Brian

for autox, i will choose s2000 any day

and actually even between the two cars for daily drive, i will choose the s2000. the supra is nice, but it's definitely outdated

Well, what about Toyota's Corolla 86. It's definately outdated yet its still competing in D1 etc...Granted, yes it is an old car, but will it have the capacity to compete for the next 10 years?

Both cars are great.. Can you turbo a S2000? The supra seems like its more versitle and can accept more mods than the s2000 making it faster..... I don't know.... Maybe Supra

ah sorry, when i said outdated i was talking about the style and interior design. i have sat in supra before, it definitely says "old age" in there imho.

Maybe so, but given the fact that the S2000's normally aspirated four reaches max HP and torque at ridiculously high RPM's when the VTEC system opens up, I'm not sure how much good a turbo is going to do this engine anyway. At the 7000-9000 RPMs that this engine turns for max power, it is already sucking in a lot of air and fuel even normally aspirated. A turbo may just be redundant.

My son has had two s2000's, an '02 now an '05. He had a Mercedes SLK 55 AMG for awhile, but says it doesn't even hold a candle to the s2000 on a fun-to-drive factor.
