Awesome! I've been wondering when they'd get around to ressurecting this classic and even mentioned it in a previous GM thread. Considering Buick is near the top in both long and short term reliablilty (J D Power) this car should get excellent sales.

WOW!
I don't know if it will equal the original 80's version, that one was sick!
too bad it looks a like a Pontiac G6 coupe, I'm not saying its ugly, buy they should have made it look a little more unique, It's still nice though.
nice job GM

I think it might be Car Craft did an article on ten cars that need to be built. I will look later if I still have the issue but I am pretty sure that's where this came from. This was a magazine writers wet dream, not anything from GM.

Good idea, bad execution.
Didn't GM learn with the GTO that noone liked the bland styling? With names this huge in history (Grand National, especially the GNX, and GTO) you need to have something more to look at than a Grand Am. No matter the performance, the styling just doesn't scream 'legendary icon', IMO.

Maybe a rebadged new GTO/GNX will sport a Chevy logo next with the Chevelle name
The Austrailian design looks outdated. The design would have been great, for a 1997 vehicle. Maybe even too bland for 1997...

I was gonna say, I think I remember this being shown as a chop, but as said above, it's a good concept. They even kept turbo+V6 in the equation. Just for the namesake though, I don't like the AWD or manual transmission.

Buick actually DID have a design drawn up for a GNX a few years back:

Yup! I have the issue home as well. Among the photoshopped ideas were a revamped Trans Am with a nose reminiscient of the 1976 T/A, and a 1969 inspired new Camaro SS
