To me this is noting more then a tune an a fancy body kit in a SL55.
I was dissapointed to learn that this "new and upcoming" car company turned out to be just that. I mean customers have to purchase a brand new SL55 and then give it to fisker if they dont have one.. already.

Saw a Fiskar Latigo CS in the showroom on my local BMW dealer. Asking price is in the $200's. They claim they're getting a dozen. I dunno. Sure it looks reasonably hot. But the shell is now CF so why is it painted (clear finish CF shows it off)? And they spent all the money on non-performance items. They told me the 6-series engine is unmolested.
And the bling-bling wheel lip sticks out so far there's no way you wouldn't curb it.

I actually met both Henrik Fisker or Christine Cheever (sp?) at the LA auto show and he let my friend and i into their booth to check out the cars. honestly, those cars have to have the most leather in any car i have ever seen.
all the plastic interior bits have been replaced with aluminum and the whole suspension has been redone. all new CF body and they even make the wheels themselves. i love the idea of coachbuilt cars and im happy that hes re-introducing the concept into the market since its been fairly dormant for the last 50-odd years.
the cars they had when i went were the Tramonto and the Latigo (both prototype cars) with the tramonto being no. 000 or 150 (have a cell pic of that somewhere). they were based off of the AMG SL55 and the BMW M6 respectively.
to all those that claim its all show and no go, heres how it breaks down:
price of car ~100k
price of body/wheels/interior etc ~100k
price of engine package (up to 650+hp) ~42k
final price --------~250k
also, Mr. Fisker himself is a really nice guy and really down to earth. it was great meeting him and i wish both him and his company good luck
