I don't know where they get a 2003 designation for that car. That is obviously a customized '65 or '66. The fast-back roof didn't exist in 1964, ( wasn't offered till '65 ) and the 1967 was a completely different body and grille.

I'd put it a 3-way tie....the 1957 Thunderbird, the original GT40 and the 1964-66 Mustangs. The 1964 Galaxie XL was way up there, too.

That "2003" Mustang is sweet!! But god, thhat Ford Cammer goes for like 15k+!!!!!!! It's an incredible engine, especially when you compare power vs weight but it is insanely expensive!

I think GM did a better job with the 572 since you can get that crate motor, 650+HP for about 11K, full long block.

But going down this path, why not just get a World Product Merlin, complete 572 (575ci actually) with 700HP for $10,500 complete!

Sorry, started rambling.......Can ya tell I got a thing for domestic power!!

Ok, I'll almost concede this one. However, the new Thunderbirds put a sort of taint on the older ones. It's hard to think 'Thunderbird' without seeing the PORTHOLE OF DOOM. Seriously, though, I think it's the race lineage that really sets the GT apart from the others to me.

Yes, since the 1968 Mustangs and the 1967 Shelby's look almost identical, minus some of the lower body parts

I like this particular one because it has a pretty sick set of BBS wheels that matches the car. I like muscle cars but I dont like them fully original.
