Which car do you have the most knowledge and that you have never owned?
It would have to be the 2nd-gen GS (1998-2005) for me. This includes all the factory colors, options, engine and drivetrain specs, not to mention the aftermarket parts lineup (it's huge and still growing) Someday I'll own a GS.
Without the GS sub-forum on CL, I'd be clueless

Interesting topic, chief.
This is a very, very difficult question for me, since I try to keep my knowledge up on vehicles across the board. I have to think a few minutes on this one...................................
................time....................
...............As far as yesterday's cars go ( I am not a young man ) I would have to say a toss-up between the 1970 Road Runner ( note my avitar ) and the 1970 Pontiac GTO....my two favorite muscle cars of the era I grew up in. I wanted either one but could afford neither at the time.
As far as today's cars go, it would say probably the Lexus ES330. I know the vehicle very well, have never owned one, but have enormous respect for it in spite of its ugly and outlandish headlights. It does many things well, rides comfortably ( something too many cars today don't ) has a stunning interior for the price, has front-drive winter traction, and is reliable....though there have been some late-model complaints about transmission shifting.
Another vehicle I have a lot of knowledge of and respect for is the new Legacy and Outback, but fortunately....I own one.

I have to say Supra TT. I used to do the test drive on the first 1993 1/2 when its frist came out and work on a few of them back in the day. The closest I ever owned was a Supra was the 1987 Supra non-turbo 5 speed. But now I can't see myself to pay for an overprice used Supra TT.

I honestly don't know. I pretty much think I'm even on most car makers. I will say as of late, it would have to be Porsche. Never owned one and not only I have the mags, but books on the brand.
So Porsche gets my vote. More the 911 than the other models.

I would say a 93-98 Supra TT for me also. My cousin and I drooled the first time we saw one. I was at the boardwalk and there was a brand new white one with its rear end facing me with the large basket handle spoiler and gold lettering. I did not imediately know what it was since I was living out of the country for 2 years and never saw a commercial for it. As soon as I saw it was a Supra I did alot of research on it but unfortunately it was very expensive and pretty rare. I have always wanted one ever since and even though I can now buy one people want way too much for them so I have pretty much dropped the idea of buying one unless I find some rare great deal. I still back order magazines with articles on it and buy any books I can find on the car. It is simply the best car Toyota has ever made and one of the best cars that has ever or will ever come out of Japan.
I also know or research alot about the last gen 300ZX tt, RX-7, 3000GT, SVX, NSX, and a few European supercars but not as much as the Supra tt.

il hafta hit the TT button again. it was the car that got me interested into car in the first place (round 5ish years ago). i was so into them that at one point i could recite the motor clearances in a TT from memory. a lot of the more obsessiveness is gone but i still rmbr a fair bit. other than that id hafta say the Lexus LS series.

The Original LS 400...read countless articles and several books about it, have multiple brochures...saved advertisements. I see the car daily, and have ridden in it...a truly excellent vehicle that has stood the test of time...
