Holden debuts lead sled concept car at Australian Auto Show
http://www.autoblog.com/entry/1234000937063185/

This wild factory hot rod is stealing the spotlight at this year’s Australian Auto Show, which opened today in Sydney. A reprise of the popular Holden FJ of the ‘50s, the Efijy sports a fiberglass body (no steel and lead, unfortunately) riding on a stretched Corvette chassis. Motivation comes from a supercharged LS2 V8 putting out 645bhp through a four-speed pushbutton automatic transmission. Adjustable height air ride suspension with 20 inch billet wheels in front and 22 inch in the rear give the Efijy that modern slammed show car look.

Because it's just a concept. The entire world gets to see concepts but sometimes none of the world gets to see them produced in their country. This most likely will not be made into production as I don't think there's a market for it.

Wow, I would be all over that! I love it!

I think that Holden makes better american cars than the Americans do. GM needs to let them bring more influence to the US.

I think it looks pretty pimp Not a daily driver, but definitely something that'd be cool to drive if the luxury aspect was done correctly (not likely considering GM)

If they detuned it a little (there's no market ANYWHERE for a 645-hp vehicle) and cleaned up the bumpers (for legality purposes), it might actually sell pretty well. Think of it as GM's answer to the 300 in a coupe.

I'm thinking it as GM's answer to a question that wasn't asked.

I'd so want one of these before a Maybach Excelero. I've grown up around hot rods and lead sleds, and I think the 'Bach couple screams ugly.

Looks cool and yes, very cartoonish. Like something out of the "Roger Rabbit " movie.
