Default results of headers on a z06

With all the talk about headers and whether they are worth the money or not I thought that this might be some good data for us.

I found this over on corvette forums, I'm a member over there, not for me but to collect information for my wife.

Anyway they got about 30hp from bolting on some headers. Is it releveant to our application, I dont know but I thought it was worth mentioning as a possibillity.

if that is what GM did to restrict the power it don't matter to us

Car dynoed at 489HP after (vs. 454 before) so the gain is 35. Sounds impressive but on that much power that's a 7.7% gain.

So on a stock GS400 of around 240WHP that would equate to a gain of 18WHP. Still impressive, but not like 35!

Also in that Corvette thread they have another header project that LOST POWER.

Holy crap. A stock GS400 makes 240RWHP?

They vary from around 230-240 from what I've seen, yeah.

If I remember right I'm around 250 with the intake/exhaust/SAFCII.
