How about the Acura RL, loaded with more features than either the GS430 or the M45, has SH-AWD, and stickers for under $50K? (And some here have reported, questionably I might add, RL's available for under $40K.)

Infinity M45 is just hot rite now, and at $60 fully loaded sport (including dvd in the back for the kidies) has more options then GS430. What do you guys think i should do, cause this is only a temp thing till i hope GS460 or 08 skyline GTR or supra < dreamin there.
Were u aware you get a M35 rental at Enterprise rent-a-car? Maybe rent one and see how it feels, much better than a test drive.

The RL has 260 ft.-lbs (with 290-300 HP). That is enough to get out of its own way, although, granted, the AWD adds a little weight and drag.

The cars themselves are pretty evenly matches, however, Infiniti loses value like crazy, look at Q45's, you can pick these babies used for next to nothing. Lexus holds value much better, so if you are going to be selling it soon, get the GS430 or better yet GS300.
I love my GS (2nd gen), but I firmly believe the M45 will hold it's value better then the GS430, since next year the GS430 (and 300) will be gone to the GS460 and GS350. I mean, the IS already has more HP then the GS430. I would love to buy the new GS, but I will have to wait until the new engine comes out. I truly believe that all 06 GS owners are going to be F'd.

I really hated how Lexus decided to screw all the GS owners

The GS 430 has the same engine and its a fine engine. Lets not forget, the M45 has the SAME engine as before as well. With a 5 speed auto. The GS has a new 6 speed. I don't think any GS 430 owner is screwd, its an incredible car.

With the ES 300, it was the same thing, they kept the same engine and upgraded to ES 330 after the first 2 years, to keep sales going.

BMW JUST upgraded its 545 to a 550 after 2 years, I dont' think 545 owners are screwed (325 to 360hp).

The E320 became the E350 after 3 years.

The Audi A6 has the SAME 4.2 V-8 from the previous version.

I've explained this tons of times. There is a reason behind the madness.

And NO ONE has an answer for the GS 450h.

The GS 430 is basically a sub 6 second car everytime. The GS 460 might knock a tenth or two off. Its not like its going to be a giant difference.

Dude, but the guy is looking for a GS430 and M45, both with over 300lb torque, as a temporary ride until GS460 comes out - don't you think the RL is too wussy for him?

Yeah, but look at ES300, there's very few things about that car that DO NOT sucks, but look at how it holds it's value. Lexus is just so great, you can never go wrong

Yes I know, and see your point, but changing engines after only 1 year isnt exactly so wonderful. Unless the GS460 isnt planned till the 2008 model.

Maybe...only he can answer that. I only stated a fact about the RL's engine after it was brought up by another poster as a possibility.....he has to decide the rest.

Now...as far as I am concerned, 290-300 HP and 260 ft.-lbs. of torque is anything BUT wimpy...but I'm not a leadfoot.

Which car has a higher demand? I think it might be the Lexus but correct me if i am wrong. If it indeed has a higher demand go with the Lexus. This means it will have a better resale. Id go with the Lexus, it has a better ride, looks better, and the interior is amazing. Go for a test drive see which car you like more, you could even do what 1sick said.

In the past the Lexus has had much higher demand, hands, down, and still does, but the new M45 is slowly catching up. I don't have the latest sales figures with me but the new M is definitely outselling the old. I won't rehash the reasons why....that has already been discussed in other threads.

Of course we can tell you why. That car is not as much of a POS as you think.
