I've driven all 3, and the MDX just didn't feel as luxurios as the others(to me)

RX400h, easily... More power than X5, with 4cly economy.

There is no way RX350 will get anywhere close to 400h in real life - maybe it will be only 2-3 mpg off at stead 70mph at highway, but in real life, easily 5-10mpg, same as with RX330.

My vote goes to the MDX.

I don't really think the RX has that much better an interior and the MDX has a better powerplant.

If they were both at the beginning of their product cycle, I would prefer the X5. The RX has never stood out in my eyes. If i were in your shoes, I'd see if you could delay until mid year and you'd have a better perspective on what's coming. Maybe Lexus announces something actually happening with the LF-X?
dramatic? i doubt it... when you outsell everyone, easily, I doubt you want to change you whole car dramatically... Didnt do any good to Infiniti.

I think ppl in US see RX too much... Here they are rare and look the best by far, easily best looking SUV I have seen, ever. (i see lots and lots of modded X5's and ML's daily).

My wife owns an X5 and I think it is way too stiff and bouncy. I have riden in the RX330 and thought it a very nice vehicle. Hard to make a choice. I would most likely go with a GX470 for the money.

GX is really cool, and I am pretty familiar with its cousin Prado (top trim is about the same as GX), but it is an truck. Big difference. Between RX400h and GX470, my choice would easily be RX.

Dont get me wrong, GX will go where no man has gone before, I have seen Prado's come back to us with interior covered in mud up to the navigation screen (its beige leather interior), yet clean it up and it looks fantastic. People abuse them a lot and they dont feel a thing.

But it is an truck. If you dont need an truck, dont get an truck. Otherwise you will be dissapointed. But if you need an truck, wow, what a truck! :-).

Don't buy a SUV if you need sportiness. So RX330 is my choice.

the RX330 from what i know isn't entirely the sportiest SUV on the market.....

if anything the X5 is quite the sporty vehicle, based on the e39 5 Series....

I know this is a Lexus board, but the X5 4.4, or 4.8 would get my vote. And, it is not because I have a 540i; I have a couple of Lexi, and have driven the Rx330 on loaner when getting my cars serviced. It is nice, but does not put the smile on my face that the 5er does when I hit the right pedal. Reliability? No problems here.

Thumbs up

Ive driven the rx330 (a loaner) and a friend of mine has the X5 4.6. The X5 with the 20's rides so stiff over the ruff stuff but feels so fast and secure. The RX330 is softer but by no means a wibble wobbler. It doesn't lean as much as the previous gen rx300, but feels pretty good as a daily driver. I love the design and erogonmics of the rx330 over the Bimmer. IThe Rx330 has a timeless design compared to the Bimmer. I would give the rx300 the nod.
