Lightbulb Acura RL on 22s (vs 3GS on 22s)

Horrible. This car is longer than the GS, yet the GS looks pretty damn good on 22s(and ya'll know I am not a fan of giant wheels for the sake of just because), at least not as awful as that. Its called mastery of luxury proportion, Lexus designers are just incredible.

Wow, I don't think there's any helping that RL...The wheel design isn't helping any either. I didn't know the GS was shorter though, I would've guessed the other way around!

The madness has got to stop, some of these cars look like they're getting ready to enter the annual Jeep Jamboree. The GS seems to pull it off without looking too cartoonish, I'm actually surprised those wheel wells swallowed up 22's.

Not to defend hideously oversized wheels - but part of the reason that RL looks so bad is wheel gap, and a terrible rim style choice.

LOL The RL had to put ' 22" ' on the side fender.

The GS looks better but I still don't see the point of 22" wheels on any sedan.

Everything is going against the RL on this one. The rims choice itselt is ugly, the fitment is poot, and the fact that the car isn't lowerd doesn't help either. The GS bennefits from a better looking rim, a lowered car, better fitment, and also the rim face itself being black kind of gives you the illusion of a smaller diamter rim. Anyway, the more I look at both cars the more 20" rims would probably be best for either car. Both 22" rims look too large. I've seen 20" rims on both these cars and they look great. IMHO, this comparison above is the one of the worst examples on the RL compared to one of the best examples on the GS. A little unfair, but still shows that 22" rims are too large for either car.

The GS is not lowered, its the stock suspension.

To be honest, and again, I am not a fan of huge wheels, on the GS, it doesn't look that bad. No, I don't endorse the move to 22s at all, but it looks better on the 3GS than the 2GS, where 22s look as horrible as on the RL.

Man o man that RL is ruined with those hideous wheels. My god who would do that to a nice vehicle.
The GS doesnt look that bad with the big boys on it. Man I really really like the new GS.

I concur. The GS on 22s actually looks good. RL looks horrible. The 22s dont look that big at all in the GS.

Theres just something about the new GS I dont like... cant pinpoint it though. I think its the front and rear that keep me distant.
