Default G6 Performance Coupe at SEMA

G6 PERFORMANCE COUPE

Pontiac ’s roomy new 2006 G6 coupe already has the looks and performance of a competition-inspired machine, so it doesn’t take much to boost the excitement factor. GM Performance Division built the G6 Performance Coupe to showcase how wild the 2+2 coupe could be with replacement body parts. Those parts include new front and rear fascias, new rocker panels and a large rear deck wing. Forgeline 19-inch wheels and racing-inspired Wilwood brakes complete the functional/stylistic additions.
Vehicle Highlights
· 270-hp 3.9L V-6
· 6-speed manual transmission
· New front/rear fascias and rocker panels
· Body kit
· New hood with scoops
· Large rear deck wing
· 19-inch Forgeline wheels
· Wilwood disc brakes
· Driving lights
· Leather-trimmed interior with contrasting stitching, including instrument panel, insert panels and rear quarter panels
· Painted console trim bezels
· Special door sill plates
· Performance exhaust tips

Well.......the back kinda reminds me of a 350Z......I was hoping for more originality to it's design.

I don't think it looks half-that-bad. Yea it kinda has some Z in the back..... but a lot of cars share elements. A lot of people on here, including myself, have pointed out that the 3GS resembles the Maxima or new Sonata from the back. Oh well, it happens.

Reminds me of the accord coupe. Outside of the oversized front grill, it doesn't look bad.

Doesnt look to bad. Doesnt look great either. Nothing I would drive. For whatever reason it looks like the Batmobile. Probably because of that rediculous wing, and that ugly grill. Performance sounds interesting. To bad its FWD.

yeah, it's not that bad, but that wing just doesn't fit in like it does on the g35. And again, if it was a "performance" coupe, it would be RWD.

The rear looks like a G35 coupe to me, and I'm looking at the rear quarter, not the wing.

The thing as a whole looks like the next Batmobile

That's really not bad looking. Looks a bit like a Solara on steroids from the back.

That actually doesn't look bad. I personally wouldn't buy one but I could see them selling a bunch of these if they were on the show floor like that.

It looks Japanese, not American at all. Not bad but hell might as well just get an Accord coupe or Solara if I want torque steer.

Looks nice, but it still sucks because its FWD

Its why the new Eclipse STILL sucks... spend 350z money on a slower car that is 'supposed' to compete with it... that makes no sense at all.
