I've been waiting for someone to do this. Its interesting. Not sure if I really like it or not, but its different.

Is there no transparent material that's strong enough to making driving on such wheels possible yet?

Well, Lexan is pretty tough> But to make it into a wheel to actually move, it would need to be MUCH thicker and be able to handle the radiant heat of the brakes and tires. It might be possible though...

I think the problem is where the studs are, lexan simply wont be able to handle the required torque of the lug nuts without cracking

I think heat is a bigger factor to worry about. I have worked with lexan and even simply drilling into it will cause it to melt and warp. Looks great though

Why would anyone want to show off those tiny brakes? lol, didn't the other thread have the 350Z with the crazy rims?
