Holy jesus I had a brain freeze. I actually live in Canada, too. I think they should kick me out for making such a stupid mistake. Wasn't even thinking, sorry.

Over 600k miles and they're praising the car ? Wow, talk about low expectations
Nevertheless, not bad.

That's nothing when I still see '79/80 corollas driving around. Last weekend, I saw 79? celica, and a lady was driving that car.
Besides from a noisy muffler, her car was smooth at idle and didn't see the antenna or rear-view shake at all

Are you saying you expect most cars to get to over 600k miles?

Since its "only" 625,000 miles, that's why they only gave him $500. When he hits 2million km, then they'll give him a new car.

when I was in high school one of the rockers had this camry with almost a million miles (like 925,000), it was a REALLY old wagon (maybe even a corolla) if its still running now its probably over a mill

Why shouldn't a car get over 500k?
It would be nice to have most cars last that long, shows how well any car SHOULD be built.

Actually, I was comparing to toyota in my mind when I was typing that
I guess I had "higher" expectations and hitting half a million is nothing unheard of also.

Interesting. I remember back about 10 years ago seeing on TV these commercials, either from an American company or Toyota, that had owners talking about how their car/truck was at 100k miles. Or was it 200k? Anyway, I'd be happy with 200k...

Highway vs city miles makes a big difference as well. Most of the cars hitting high mileage (or kilometerage...) are making long distance / highway type trips...

If it were 62,500 miles, would Hyundai or anyone make a big deal out of it? I think if anything, a celebration of such low mileage would serve to underscore Hyundai's crappiness, not its reliability.
Thanks or you can also try this length converter to quick and accurate measurement.

How about 1.2 million miles or 1.9 million kilometers.
