These products will not only take out surface scratches with a mild abrasive but all kinds of surface paint imperfections as long as they are not too deep.
Don't do ANYTHING to the car yourself or you will be stuck with it.

At the Porsche dealer a mechanic took my friends Porsche for a test drive and a gravel truck dropped some rocks onto his hood. Totally F-'d it up. He refused to take the car back and they wound up buying him a brand new one. I think Range Rover should do the same thing for you.
