How does one go about extracting leather from animals?
But to the best of my knowledge all Lexus vehicles use cow hide aka leather.
Oh, I'm with TLW......why?

Virtually all Lexus products, at least in the American market, have true cattle-sourced leather as standard. However, the old IS300 had a cloth-seat option on the base model ( I had one ) and, to a lesser extent, the ES330....but it was virtually impossible to find cloth ES330's in stock at dealerships....I saw only one in all the time I dealt with Pohanka Lexus. Cloth IS300's were more common.
I don't know if Lexus allows special-orders for cloth anymore on the new IS and ES....check with a dealership or the 1-800-Lexus customer service number.

I think this should answer your question.
Cloth is still an option on the ES at this end.

I think a lot of leather though is a by-product of cows bred and killed for other purposes.
