Lightbulb Darth Vadar here is your SUV...2008 Cayenne

Due to a considerable sales decrease of Porsche’s off-roader Cayenne, the sports car maker has decided to switch the facelifted model’s launch to an earlier date, which is now the Geneva Motor Show in spring 2007.

In 2005-2006 Porsche sold only 34,000 new Cayennes, in particular sales went down in the United States dramatically, because also the American buyers meanwhile have to struggle with the high fuel costs in their country. Now Porsche hopes to successfully re-enter the market with the new facelifted Cayenne II. These two photos are showing a prototype of the restyled version without any disguise.

Nice clear pictures, but it doesn't look a whole lot different from the present one.

The biggest problem with the Cayenne is that Porsche needs to drop the price..........both versions, turbo and non-turbo, are just too expensive to sell in decent numbers.

knowing porsche's past design history, id be shocked if it was a dramatic change
hehe

as for the price, i think its fine where it is
the price differentiation sets the brand name apart
at that price range, there arent many competitors

the only one i can really think of is the Range Rover and the RR Sport if you dont count the toureg
funny thing is both of these expensive SUVs are not really reliable

to compare what they have changed

heres the current cayenne

and the new one from 1sicklex's post

pretty creative of putting the fog lights up vertically and on the side or are those DRLs? or what?
then what are those 2 round lights on the bottom of hte bumper?
im confused :S

The rear of it does belong on Vader's tie fighter.

Quite true, nothing really reliable with those high powered SUVs.

In the 1st picture, it looks like it's pouting. In the second, it looks comical, sorta like that VW van in the back.

I love the Cayenne. I think it's looks considerably more agressive.

Is the cayenne that capable of an "suv"-like the RR or the LC?
Or is it a rocket (turbo of course) on-roader?

I know my neighbor wants a 911 carerra but couldn't afford one, so he got a used pepper s instead
