The TSX was hurt by the lack of inventory during the MY change over - it usually sells 2500/mo.
One can only assume that huge drop in ES sales have gone to the IS. The IS/ES duo will be close to 3 series sales from now on.
A4 is doing pretty well.

Sales for Infiniti were down 14.1 percent from last November with 10,363 units sold
Audi is also saying sales are up overall, but its only the entry level A4. The A6 and A8 are down, this has to hurt, both are brand spanking new rides!
I am curious what Benz R-class sales goals were. They sold 1,200 a month, so somebody wants them. The new S is coming soon so this will help as well.
The Tacoma and Frontier are both new trucks and Frontier sales are down while Tacoma sales are up.
Kudos to AmethySC for posting all this information for us!!

Looks like the DTS ( formerly the DeVille ) and Town Car still dominate the full-size category.
Call them geezer cars if you want....but they sell.
ALL of these vehicle sales, however, are nothing compared to the Camry and Accord, which routinely sell in the neighborhood of 40,000 cars a month.

Also the ES has been around since 2002, the TSX since 2004, so ES sales down are natural since its nearing the end of its cycle. The TSX is getting a refreshing as you stated.

Luxury car sales slump; gasoline prices, Iraq war jitters cited
JEAN HALLIDAY | Advertising Age
Posted Date: 12/1/05
DETROIT -- Luxury-vehicle sales, long considered invulnerable to a sluggish economy, are showing surprising signs of weakness.
Not only did Cadillac, Lincoln, Infiniti and Porsche see declines in their SUV sales through October, but Lincoln, Jaguar and BMW all posted slides in car sales in the first 10 months of 2005, according to the Automotive News Data Center.
Worse still, researcher GFK Automotive said there is a slowdown in luxury prospects’ intentions to buy -- a bad sign for the coming months. And that could trigger what was once considered unseemly behavior from segment leaders.
“There’s food fights in the luxury market, which used to be a gentleman’s market,” said Doug Scott, GFK analyst.
Cadillac General Manager Jim Taylor said the entire segment was hurt by higher gasoline prices and the pull-ahead effect of the summer's employee-discount program. Cadillac’s Escalade sales this year are down 12 percent through October, compared with the same period last year.
Even though the lower-end of the category is more sensitive to economic uncertainties, the Iraq war is a depressant at the upper end, said Susan Jacobs, president of auto consultant Jacob & Associates, adding that the lukewarm stock market isn’t generating “a sense of prosperity” that promotes luxury sales.
Part of the slowdown can be blamed on product cycles; new SUV models tend to sell well for a few years but peter out until their next redo, she said.
Still, said Jacobs, Japanese automakers are gaining ground in the luxury category dominated for decades by Detroit until 1999 when Mercedes-Benz won the sales crown. Jacobs predicted that Japanese luxury brands will see U.S. market-share rise to 39.8 percent this year from 37.6 percent in 2004.
Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc.’s Lexus brand is poised to remain the luxury top-seller for the sixth consecutive year. Lexus is one of only three upscale brands -- the others are Acura and BMW North America -- to post an increase in both car and truck sales after the first 10 months of this year vs. the same period a year ago, according to the Automotive News Data Center.
Lexus was the biggest ad spender in the category in the first half of 2005, at $119 million in measured media, according to TNS Media Intelligence. Publicis Groupe’s Team One of El Segundo, Calif., handles Lexus.
Lexus car sales increased by nearly 7 percent this year through October, while its SUV sales are up just 1.4 percent.
“We are really focused on new-car launches,” said Deborah Meyer, vice president of marketing at Lexus. The automaker launched the second-generation, entry-level IS sedan and third-generation GS performance sedan this year.
In addition to traditional media, Lexus tried to improve the experiences at its events, which included sponsoring Paul McCartney’s 30-stop tour and 12-city “Taste of Lexus” ride and drives.
BMW, ranking second in luxury sales almost 26,000 units behind Lexus, ranked sixth in ad spending among its luxury counterparts, laying out just $65 million in measured media.
Acura, the luxury division of American Honda Motor Co., topped Mercedes-Benz USA in vehicle sales through October and said sales this year are the best in its 20-year history. Acura spent $106 million in measured media in the first half of 2005, making it the third-highest spender behind Infiniti’s $108 million. Independent RPA, of Santa Monica, Calif., handles Acura, while Omnicom Group’s TBWA/Chiat/Day of Playa del Rey, Calif., handles Infinti, the luxury division of Nissan North America.

November sales fall 2.8 percent: DaimlerChrysler, Ford, GM see drops; Toyota, Honda post 10 percent gains
DALE JEWETT | Automotive News
Posted Date: 12/2/05
DETROIT -- U.S. auto sales fell 2.8 percent in November to 1,165,814 units, as Ford Motor Co. and General Motors continue to be hit by waning interest in their truck products.
DaimlerChrysler, Ford and GM saw sales fall for the month compared with November 2004. For the year to date, only DaimlerChrysler's sales are running ahead of last year.
Sales totals in this story reflect all brands sold in the United States.
Through 11 months of the year, industry sales totaled 15,510,200 units, up 0.9 percent.
The seasonally adjusted annual rate for November stood at 15.8 million units. That was up from 14.3 million in October, which was the lowest for this year.
In November, Ford Motor sales dropped 15.0 percent to 200,474 units, and GM sales dropped 7.7 percent to 276,777 units. Both automakers saw double-digit drops in truck sales for the month.
DaimlerChrysler sales for November dropped 2.7 percent from a year earlier to 178,202 units.
Meanwhile, Japanese rivals Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc. and American Honda Motor Co. posted sales gains of at least 10 percent. That made November a record-setting month for both automakers.
Toyota's sales, which include Lexus and Scion, rose 10.0 percent to 169,665 units in November. For the year to date, its sales are up 9.9 percent to 2,057,017 units.
