Third record month in a row - Audi's best November sales in history
AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Dec. 1 -- With its third record month in a row, Audi of America, Inc. is reporting its November 2005 sales, the best November result achieved in the company's history. Sales of 7,909 units are up 15% over November 2004. Strongest performer was again the new Audi A4. The A4 and S4 model line in November sold 5,067 units (+33.6%) and now shows 43,417 units sold year-to-date. The A6 model line now shows 16,307 units sold year-to-date and is up year over year by 21.7%.
"We are clearly very pleased that we have been able perform so well in a declining market," says Executive Vice President of Audi of America, Johan de Nysschen. "Both our A4 and A6 line have been selling so strongly in recent months, that we are experiencing availability shortage in some areas. We have secured additional production, so customers will not have to wait much longer."
This past year has focused on celebrating 25 years of quattro(R), Audi's famous all-wheel drive system. "Our entire marketing campaign has highlighted this unique anniversary, and customers are strongly reacting to that," says de Nysschen. The Audi A6 and A8 models are only available with quattro all-wheel-drive; the A4 and A3 models are also available in FrontTrak front-wheel-drive.
"The pinnacle of our quattro success could be seen at this year's Frankfurt Auto Show, where Audi unveiled the latest product proudly carrying the quattro badge, the all new performance SUV Audi Q7 quattro, coming to the US in summer of next year," says de Nysschen.

Ford Motor Company's U.S. sales totaled 201,711 in November, down 15 percent compared with a year ago. * November sales were 1 percent higher than October (up 5 percent at retail). * Combined sales for the Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan, and Lincoln Zephyr climb 34 percent compared with October. * Land Rover dealers report record November sales. * Ford announces first quarter 2006 North American production plan.
DEARBORN, Mich., Dec. 1 -- U.S. consumers purchased 201,711 new vehicles from Ford , Lincoln, Mercury, Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo dealers in November, down 15 percent compared with a year ago. Car sales were down 7 percent and truck sales were down 18 percent.
November sales were 1 percent higher than October as sales to individual retail customers were up 5 percent. The month-to-month improvement reflects higher sales of the company's all-new mid-size sedans (Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan, and Lincoln Zephyr) as well as higher sales for Ford's F-Series truck.
"Recent economic data and higher November auto sales are encouraging," said Steve Lyons, Ford group vice president, North America Marketing, Sales and Service. "It suggests we're moving beyond the payback period following last summer's record sales. We expect December sales will show further improvement."
In November, combined sales for Ford Fusion (5,337), Mercury Milan (1,874), and Lincoln Zephyr (1,652) were 34 percent higher than October.
Ford's F-Series truck posted November sales of 62,878, down 5 percent compared with a year ago, but up 16 percent versus October.
Sales of traditional sport utility vehicles, like Ford's Explorer, continued to experience sharply lower demand than a year ago, but sales were stable compared with October.
Land Rover dealers reported record November sales (up 18 percent) on the strength of its two new models -- the LR3 and Range Rover Sport.
North American Production
The company plans to build 885,000 vehicles (320,000 cars and 565,000 trucks) in its North American assembly plants in the first quarter 2006. In the first quarter 2005, the company produced 908,000 vehicles (264,000 cars and 644,000 trucks).
In the fourth quarter of 2005, the company plans to build 790,000 vehicles (245,000 cars and 545,000 trucks), down 20,000 units (all trucks) from the previously announced plan.

American Honda Records 2005 As Best-Ever November Sales
Ridgeline Posts Best Month Ever; Record Sales of Pilot Boost Truck Sales
TORRANCE, Calif., Dec. 1 -- Total Honda and Acura November automobile sales increased 6.4 percent over last year to 105,860, and shattered the previous record of 98,075 set in 2002. Driven by November's 15.3 percent increase in Honda truck sales, American Honda's year-to-date sales continue on a record-setting pace of 1,329,672 cars and light trucks, increasing 6.2 percent over last year on a daily selling rate basis, putting the company in line for a 12th straight year of sales increases.
Honda Division also broke records for the sixth consecutive month, posting record truck and total vehicle sales for the month of November of 44,261 and 91,978 units respectively. The revolutionary half-ton Ridgeline truck posted its best month ever with a record 5,243 units, while the Civic (Motor Trend's Car of the Year for 2006) continued to make gains with sales increasing 18 percent over last November. Pilot also posted record November sales of 12,040 units, a 9.8 percent increase over the same period last year.
"The fact that our light-truck models continue to show strength in the face of uncertain gas prices, is a function of their class-leading fuel economy" said Richard Colliver, executive vice president of American Honda Motor Co., Inc.
Increasing consumer awareness and industry accolades of Honda's innovative Ridgeline pickup contributed to its best-ever sales month. Honda's fleet of three hybrid models posted a 52.8 percent increase compared to last November at 2,083 units.
The Honda Division's year-to-date sales grew 6.0 percent to 1,138,683 units, with Odyssey, Pilot and CR-V all showing year-to-date increases.
Acura Division posted sales of 13,382 units with record November sales of the TL sports sedan of 6,134 units. RSX sales increased to 1,521, a 9.1 percent increase from last year for a fifth consecutive month of record sales. Year-to-date Acura sales are up 7.2 percent to 190,989.

Thanks for posting all the reports for us, AmethySC. ![Thumb Up](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
The IS if continuing to sell at this rate will beat the original 40k sales target by a wide margin.![Thumb Up](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
So the actual sales ratio of IS250 and IS350 turns out to be 65% to 35%, or 13 to 7--for every two IS250 sold there's more than one IS350 sold--that's much more than the 20% that Lexus had anticipated for the IS350, but we all knew that.![Wink](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Also, I don't like how they list all IS's as "IS300" in the report. Time for an update.
Edit: Oops didn't notice the IS350 sales number includes the IS300. Don't think there were too many IS300's sold in November though.

GM Reports 281,288 Deliveries in November
Chevrolet Impala, Pontiac G6 and Buick LaCrosse Pace Strengthening Mid-Size Car Sales
Led by New H3, HUMMER Ranks as Fastest-Growing Brand in U.S.
Pontiac and Saturn Post Double-Digit Sales Gains
DETROIT - General Motors dealers in the United States sold 281,288 new cars and trucks in November, down 11 percent from the same month a year ago. Car sales were down 3 percent and truck sales were off 16 percent. Total sales were up 14 percent compared to October levels.
"November was stronger than October for GM and the industry, but certainly not a barn burner," said Mark LaNeve, vice president, GM North America Vehicle Sales, Service and Marketing. "We saw improvement throughout the month and look forward to finishing the year with continued sales momentum."
LaNeve went on to point out the positive impact of new products, like the Chevrolet Impala and HHR, Pontiac G6 and Buick LaCrosse. "In our business, the bottom line is great product," he added. "Our new vehicles are hitting home, which gives us confidence as we get ready to introduce 19 new products in 2006, many of them in key, high-volume segments."
The revitalized GM mid-size car lineup has been gaining sales momentum in recent months, with November deliveries up 9 percent. Sales of the most recent addition to the category, the Chevrolet Impala, were up 14 percent, posting a new November sales record. Dealer orders have been brisk, exceeding original expectations.
Pontiac G6 in November achieved its best-ever sales month, with more than 14,000 deliveries and a 56 percent improvement over October sales. Pontiac sales were up 11 percent in November.
For the 11th time in the last 12 months, the Buick LaCrosse outsold year-ago combined Century and Regal sales on a retail basis. Buick's all-new luxury sedan, Lucerne, is arriving in dealerships around the country and posted 2,724 deliveries in November.
Small sport utility vehicle sales in November were up 35 percent, led by the new Chevrolet HHR, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Vue. Torrent sales have improved each month since its August launch, with November sales 26 percent greater than October. Sonata Sets New Record and Leads Sales Surge With 117% Jump Over Last November
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Dec. 1 -- Hyundai Motor America sold 33,383 units during the month of November, setting a new, all-time record for the month. Year-to-date sales of Hyundai vehicles in the U.S. are up 12.5 percent over the same period, 2004.
The all-new Sonata led sales in November with 14,216 units, an impressive 117 percent increase over last year. In addition, the XG350 also had a stellar month with 2,311 units, a 56 percent increase over the same period, 2004.
"We're pleased that our all-new Sonata had its best sales month ever, with an increase of 117% over last November," said Mark Barnes, vice president of national sales for Hyundai Motor America. "Consumers are increasingly putting Sonata on their mid-size car shopping list, thanks to its strong value, 5-star crash test results, great winter driving safety and traction as a result of its segment-first standard Electronic Stability Control, and our 10-year warranty."
All Hyundai cars and sport utility vehicles sold in the U.S. are covered by The Hyundai Advantage, America's Best Warranty. Hyundai buyers are protected by a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, a 5-year/60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty, and a 7-year/unlimited-mile anti-perforation warranty and 5-year/unlimited-mile roadside assistance protection.
