Default Newest member to the toyota family! *NOW WITH PIX*

After the 4th transmission replacement (now needing a 5th) in 70,000 miles, my mother had enough of her 2002 Chrysler Concorde Limited. Wednesday night she picked up a 2005 Toyota Camry XLE. it has the 4 cylinder, but its decently peppy. Im just happy she now has a dependable car that wont break down every 2-3 months with a major hassle. I'll have pix up ASAP as i am home on leave for 6 days. heres the options though:

Silver metallic
Cloth interior (leather int he texas heat burns her skin she didnt want it)
Real Wood Trim.
6 disc In dash changer with JBL audio premuim sound system.
Dual Zone climate control (pretty sure thats standard now)
Dual power seats
Sunroof (wil be dealer installed on the 3rd of january, currently doesnt have one)
Sunshade in rear window (not sure if its power or not, havent looked)
Foglights
VVT-i (again, standard i think)
ABS (stadard again LOL)

its nicely equipped, but not loaded. the only reason she didnt get the leather is because of her location. I'll get pix up as soon as i can. its a used car with 18,001 miles on it on delivery. finally something she can own thats hassle free.

My gf's mom has the same car. So smooth & quiet for a 4-banger. Nice pick up!

Give your mom my congragulations.
The 2005 Camry does not have the sludge and gelling problems that earlier 3.0L V6 Camrys did if you extended the oil change interval...but of course it is still a good idea to do it at 3-5 months and 3000-5000 miles.

Also give your mom a bottle of SCRATCH-OUT for her car. By now you know I have recommended this product for a long time. It is only a few dollars and will help keep the paint like new by taking out all kinds of surface paint problems.

It wouldnt have had it anyways, it has the 2AZFE I4. but, she said she likes the I4 better than the V6 because its smoother and better on gas. she doesnt need fast. she said fast was what ruined her chrysler cause it kept eating trannies (car was quick tho!)

I will get her some scratch out. definately. i know you reccomend it and i have used it myself, works great! now for the pix!

Gauges on:

I love the way the gauges fade on when you start the car.

Thanks for the pics, Army.
Sorry, that was my fault. I forgot it was a 4, not the V6.

Now that you're in the military, bring home a Hummer H1 for your mom to try out.
( just kidding )

Congratulations to your mom for getting the Camry. I'm sure she'll love it. Like you mentioned it will be dependable, reliable and hassle free. Just keep up on the preventative maintenance and I'm sure it will last a very long time. The best new cars make the best used cars. I believe it's one of Toyota's slogans.

Yes...it is. Toyota uses it in TV ads for its CPO cars. Guess What? The commercials usually feature a CPO Camry.
