There were actually 6 versions of the F1. Missing from the top photo would be the 1995 GTR and the 1997 longtail GTR. You can see them both in this image though it's hard to tell any difference between the 1995 & 1996 GTRs:

jbell - the F1 GT and the F1 road car both would have the standard F1s V12 making 627hp. The GTRs always had a little less power (usually quoted ay 600hp) due to air restrictors and eventually a slightly smaller displacement in the 1997 version which was required to stay within the rules. The F1 LM would have the highest output at 680hp by way of different cams and a remapped ECU and other subtle tweaks.
Goat - you got very close. There were a total of 3 F1 GTs, and at last report the factory still has the green one. The black was and may still be owned by the Brunei Royal Family.
Impeccable - I lead a very exciting life and was unfortunately at the grocery store when this was posted.
In reference to your second post, that's a different "McLaren" though there is a historic connection.
Texan_Brandon - Actually McLaren built 6 F1 LMs. One was the prototype that they still retain possession of to this day. Sadly 3 of the 5 customer LMs went to Brunei and have not been seen since.
For those who are infatuated with the original image, I had made a version of it a while back that doesn't have the text or 'Rosso' watermark. I've also been able to enlarge it to two additional sizes with no noticeable differences in quality.
1024x768 - 1280x960 - 1600x1200
Enjoy!

I think the orange Mclaren that 1SICK posted is the same one as the one Bean posted in his side view mirror.
Amazing cars. I would be absolutely speechless if I saw a Mclaren next to me. Holy.
