Have you ever been told your car is ugly?

I was at Costco and I was going back to my car and this guy asks "Is that your car." I say "yup"
Then his wife says " That car is Ugly." It's a black 1999 LX470 what I think is beautiful. Just woundering if that has ever happened to anyone.

 

Never in front of me, but I got compliments & thumbs up on both my cars

 

What did his wife look like?

 

LOL! I think she was just joking.

I personally think LX are the most beautiful SUV in its class.

She was White/Blonde
Maybe she was joking but I was heartbroken that day. I just found it a little rude but I love the LX.

If you like your car, you should not really care what she thought,

 

she was just hating.

 

I love the LX. Almost the same capabilities as the Range Rover but more dependable.

 

sounds like jealousy to me....i think the GS gets the most compliments, but then again i could be biased

 

Look her in the eyes with a dead serious face and go "OMG a talking dog!" then turn to the guy and say "how much was it?"

 

what were they driving?

kinda like the guy with a small pecker.......and his wife says "no honey.....your fine, that ones too big"
but in her mind she really REALLY wants the big.....LX

It was just sad to hear something that horrible said about a Lexus, very sad day.
Just unbeliveable how they asked " Is that your car. Its ugly."

Didn’t catch what they were driving.

There are cars out there that I just love the look. This ranges from small to large cars to SUVs. I am not even talking about exotics yet. I wish I could own them all. The cars I do buy (and possibly mod), I do so for me. I fully acknowlege others can have different and possibly opposing opinions as me.

Forget random strangers. I won't dig out the references but cars that I like have been ragged on by my fellow CL buddies. Mods that I do (and plan to do) are not embraced by all either. I know it hurts a little but I don't let it get to me. As long as I like the car, that is what is most important.
