i suggest using progressive and do a price comparison. iono if MN has mercury but they seem to be really good and affordable. progressive, all-state, state farm, 21st century. stick with the big names to be safe.

hi there gomez!
The key to saving money on insurance is to shop around and get as many quotes as possible. This is especially true when purchasing auto insurance. I recently read one article that insurance rates for the exact same coverage can vary several hundred dollars. Consumer activist Clark Howard suggests shopping at least ten insurance companies before purchasing. There are some great resources to get you started. A good idea to star is to get a quote from an insurance broker - brokers provide a good service in that they try to get you a competitive quote and get a small commission in return.
Here's a good place to start: **************************
good luck!

Welcome to CL, gomez
Try GEICO first. They are a tough company to get into, but if they take you, in many ways you're set. ( I've been with them 25 years now ). It's hard to beat their rates, and they offer discounts as well for low annual mileage, air bags, anti-lock brakes, factory vehicle security systems, 5-year good driving records, Federal-Employee grades 12 and above, and a signed pledge that you always wear your belts. In addition, they sometimes waive the premium increase on a chargeable accident ( called the " Forgiveness " program ) if your previous driving record is pretty good and if you have not had prior major accidents or serious driving violations.
GEICO also operates around the clock, 24 hours a day. They never close. You can get service...even a claim....any time of the day or night. Just dial 1-800-841-3000. You never have to deal with insurance agents....they have their own people who do everything.

Esurance anyone???
I've had Geico for the previous 2 yrs or so. They were pretty good overall. But since I havent had insurance in months since my truck was stolen so they're starting me over like I'm a brand new customer. Anyway have any of you guys considered or use Esurance?? Don't laugh but their quotes wiped Geico, who I must admit are fairly reasonable compared to the competition.
