The z06 need a little more to keep up with a 650hp Porsche. Might have been a different story if the Z06 had one of Lingenfelter's performance packages like this one (not available in CA):

I love the way that porsche disappeared on that up hill straight. I think the porsche was playing with him a little to let him catch up, then handed him his **** on the big uphill straight
