My local dealer has over 30 deposits on M6's, the reason is that they are the nearest dealer north of LA that sells at MSRP. I was lucky to find a dealer with a mere three... another 150 miles north in a very small BMW market.
yeah i guess it's a good thing to drive a bit longer for the better pricing. but gene, how are you going to drive the car back and avoid rock chips?

yeah over the sticker i am not surprised at all. i was kinda referring to the fact that if i can get more than 10k margin between the m5 and 6, i would still choose 6

(I'm not sure if it will be a 2007 when released???)
haha you are brave man with all the LA traffic. i made sure i had the clear bra on before i took delievery of the car

i am wondering, gene. did you get to sit or even drive the m5 yet?

wow they have one for test drive actually? i thought all the m5 are pre-ordered.

but that's nice man, exactly what i had in mind, gotta drive on before you get it since the m6 is just too rare, a m5 will do

That M6 is a hot looking car. Not much into the M5, but the M6...Damn. Too pricey for me though.

I don't figure the M6 is worth 25 to 30 large more than the M5 but all the BMW-only magazine reviews claim it has a noticebly lower CG for MUCH better track manners. So that skidpad comparison is worthless.

But it is certainly a worthy object of lust.
