Love the direction Lexus is going
Well today I went buy Hendrick Lexus to pick up my free floor and trunk mats I was in my M3 and my man who sold me my gs told me he would have me out of my M3 soon I told him he was full of it so he said do you have about 30 mins. So we got in the Is 350 we drove it arounds some curves iwas hestitate at first but he said get on it and that beast growled it snapped us back and just let loose and before you know it i had that machine up to 120 no joke and all the time it felt like i was in my living room with all the luxury of the soft leather easy to control ***** even the smell. I was like why didn't you show me this before he said that you wanted a used car. So in short I've been an idiot for all these years Bimmer this bimmer that. People tryed to tell me now I've got my 98 gs 300 loving it more by the day not the power (should have got the 400) but the looks and the luxury and what i've read so far the reliability so My Bimmer days are number If Lexus keep doing what they are doing Toyota will also dominate all aspects of luxury vehicles.

I agree. Lexus has a shot at "the crown." But they need to improve the handling, at least as an option beyond the current Sport package. I'm not entirely a BMW fan-boy (having owned the Integra GSR, S2000, and Z06) but the IS350 lacks a controlled suspension. Surprised you didn't feel this, coming from one of the best-balanced car series around (M3's of all vintages).

My M3 is a 2001 coupe. Yeah the M3 is a little faster very little and handles better but what the Lexus had as an everyday driver and ride feel Its in a different league and the looks of the Lexus imo is alot better than my M3 and also I do not think the lex will drink oil like M3's do.

i can honestly say that up to last year, I wouldnt consider any Lexus, no matter my connection with Toyota. I briefly considered IS200 in 2002, but decided against it (luckily, it would be very hard to sell here). Today, we have IS, we have GS and LS is coming. All 3 top of their class, if not #1.
Thats pretty big change. Same thing happened with Toyota's. Back in 2000, would never consider one...

I love the fact they are going UPMARKET and not downmarket. Gives me something to aspire to. I love how they continue to take care of their customers now but getting new ones. And I love the hybrids thus far and another way Lexus leads/creates in a segment.

Yeah, everything I'm hearing is that Toyota is collectively working to put more excitement into its products, across all its divisions. Granted Lexus doesn't need as much help as Toyota proper in terms of thrill factor, but the company is nonetheless pumping up the energy in the high-end cars too. I think they're doing a good job of it. Looking forward to more.
