View Poll Results: Get the American Made Acura TL or the Japanese made Lexus GS?
GS, yeah we are biased, this is a Lexus forum. The proof is in the pudding, GS is sensational

i just want some of you guys opinions. Im planning on trading in my 02 camry for either a 04 Acura TL or a 01-03 GS (430 would be nice my my money gets in place but a 300 will due). but this is my delimma. i work for lake norman chyrsler, jeep, dodge. and my boss ownes lake norman infiniti as well. i test drove a 04 TL they have on the lot. it was black on black with every option in it, with the body kit and a flowmaster exhaust (sounds sweet), and i really do like it. but i do want to stay in the lexus family and if i dom i really want a GS. i know the GS has RWD and the TL has FWD, but thats not really a concern of mine, and i know both models are not excatly in the same class, but i dont care. so basically i just wanting opinions from yall to get your prespective.
much appricated

GS. The TL isn't quite up to standards in terms of "Japanese" quality (it's an American vehicle). A lot of bang for the buck, but every 3rd car is a TL, and it just doesn't have that "Lexus" appeal.

the latest generation TL has won me over quite a bit...
though the 01-03 GS is a handsome car...
the new TL is very compact and crisp--looks sportier and more aggressive.
i'd take the TL.
yes it's blasphemy on CL...
but i'd still take the TL

Since you have an Infiniti and a Lexus already, adding what vehicle would be better? An Acura or a Lexus? My answer is: Acura TL.

I love the new TL's to death. Such a cool car. For a FWD car it has awsome performance capabilities. Add to that its long list of features and you have a winner in my books. But it does have its draw backs. The 04's have had numerous problems(tranny issues, rattles, fading, and many other documented things).
The GS is cool. I like it, but slightly lacking in features. I dont find it as sporty to drive, but the engines are bulletproof and can be easily modded to insane amounts of power. The aftermarket for a GS is REDICULOUS!!
So basically I would take a TL over a GS300, but I would certainly take a GS400/430 over a TL.

the tl is a nice car, good bang for the money. but as an ex-owner of the tl-s, and driven the new tl couple of times, i would put my money on the gs any day. that's if you can get a gs430. the gs300, then i think the tl get a bit more edge
the tl is just in no class close to the gs. the gs is much better built, stronger, and the v8 power is just insane. if you get 430, most likely it has the nav and ml, then it's a perfect car

preciate yalls comments, even though i think the TL is a fantasic car, now it looks like im leaning towards the GS (300/430) which ever is better suited in my price range. one comments stated that the TL was having tranny issues, wasnt aware of this and the same comment also stated fading, what exactly do u mean, like everyone has one? just wondering.
i do a-lil time before the dealership actually takes the pre-owneds to auction, but my decision is leaning towards a GS now. i would like to have the 430 but a 300 will have to due.
