Default Auto Insurance Comparison

I realize that these 6 month insurance rates are specific to my age, location, coverage and driving conditions. The cars are sorted by cost (low to high). Check out the difference in the rates for the GS300 and the IS350. My car, the '04 LS430 is about mid-pack. I apologize that the columns are no longer set up properly.

Looks about right, considering cost of car, it's power (hp), and the type of population that drives it...

Seems to me that the same demographic exists for the IS350 and BMW 330i and the MSRP as well as performance is similar, yet the cost of insurance for the IS350 is a lot higher. Even the G35 is the same rate as the 330i. Hope the higher rate doesn't negatively affect IS350 sales.

Any idea why insurance rates on the IS350 are so high? I'm guessing it's because of the "streetracer" reputation of the last model.

yeah my guess is the small "race" performance car with quite a bit of power, over 300hp.

Check the IS250. It's the same as the Infiniti M45 and only $5.00 less than the GS430.
