Arrow Without Further A Do... 22" On a 350Z!

Now let me be the first to state that I personally don't condone these large/heavy wheels on a Sports Car. BUT...... I will give the guy props for actually attempting this application. It appears at first to be a p-shop just because of the size of the wheels compared to the car, but nope, what you see are TIS 22" with 245/30/22 front and 255/30/22 rear.

GOT BLING?

Thoughts......

Utterly stupid, silly, pointless and the gene pool could use some chlorine.......

It won't ride better, won't handle better, it doesn't even look better. But this dummy can tell all his even dumber friends "look, 22s" where they will all give thumbs up in approval.

And its Sunday, so I am playing nicely

Galll Darn!!!!

If the guy wanted to put 22's on a car, he should have gotten a truck or 300C. He probably doesn't understand the physics behind rotational mass.....or the principles of what a sports car should be.....

I'm sure his Z would get a lot of attention, but I doubt it would be very positive....

More importantly, I wonder what the salesman who sold this guy these huge wheels told him.
"Yes, they will look great! And your car will handle even better with these big wheels and skinny tires."

Not that I condone 22's on the car but I would have went with a 5 spoke design. Wonder if he has bbk on there. Maybe that's why he went with the multispoke to hide how small his brakes look.

Looks like that's in Pomona here in SoCal. The clear giveaway is Metro Nissan.

LOL, that's too big for the car, makes it looks awkard. I think 20's is the biggest I would use.

Eh... he could've found a better choice of wheels if he wanted 22s and be sporty.

I never undestood 22" bling on sports cars, you've made the car slower, more likely to be stolen, and drive worse.

I can see lighter VOLKS or something, but heavy chrome wheels, leave that to Escalde and VIP owners.

Mike put that the best "Utterly Stupid". Why anyone would over power such a nice car like the Z with a wheel like that should have his car taken away.. At least with this picture I know for sure that chrome looks really bad against Silverstone (ie Diamond Graphite in the US)..

It at least looks as if he lowered the car which is a step in the right direction. I think people start on the wrong foot when you attempt a new fitment using a wheel like TIS, it will be instantly writtien off as BLING. Not that it would be correct, but I bet if he attempted the same with a set of 22" HRE or such, he would at least have a chace to get SOME consideration.

I have always said thought the G35 / 350z could pull off a set of 21" wheels, and looking at these pics, furthers my suspicion. The 22" on the other hand are just too much of a good (or bad?) thing.

Thanks for sharing TX.
