UPDATE: Alleged Amateur Dodge Model Challenges Nude Auto Show Story

DETROIT — "Danielle" admits she was there. But that's about all she says was true of the story everyone has heard.
In reports from around Detroit on Friday, an Eastpointe, Michigan, woman identified only as "Danielle," a.k.a. the would-be nude Dodge Challenger bandit says she didn't disrobe, wasn't tipsy and didn't break into the North American International Auto Show to pose with the car.
She did tell the press, however, that she accepted the invitation of several middle-age electricians working at the show to come in after hours and was next in a sheer black top, mini skirt and high heels next to the Dodge Challenger concept on the show floor. She did admit to the Detroit News that from 2 feet away, one could have seen through her shirt.
"I can laugh at a ridiculous story because it's kind of funny," she told the paper. "This is a much bigger story than what it really was."
The 29-year-old has been the focus of a series of stories after media outlets picked up word from DaimlerChrysler, Cobo Center officials and show workers that a scantily clad or naked woman had been caught posing on the car after hours while a group of men photographed her with cell phone cameras.
The woman did agree to appear on camera for WDIV, the Detroit NBC affiliate.
