Whoa! Missed this thread. I saw many Aurion's while I was in Vietnam (they badge it the Camry over there). I was surprised that Vietnam gets such a beautiful version of the Camry while we get ours.

I'm not particularly fond of our Camry here. I recall seeing a black on black, black tinted Aurion in Vietnam and it looked bada**!! My father agreed and said it looked more European and stylish.

The problem is the Vietnamese, Chinese, Malaysian, and most other Asian country versons of the Camry's (like the Aurion) cost quite a bit more than our USDM counterparts. This is because most of those countries put import duty and taxes based on vehicle size and engine displacements, thus they have to get a more upmarket feel for people to justify purchasing them. While I'd like to get something like that Aurion, I sure as heck won't pay $40k+ for it.

Which surprises me sometimes. So many of them around the streets, including BMW and Mercedes of various trims and levels. (Sorry for the OT).

Way too much for the front wheels. Nice idea though.

It's not torque steer I'm concerned about. Torque steer can be greatly reduced by using equal length driveshaft, but then that would mean the transmission and engine would have to be mounted longitudinally.

What concerns me is off the line traction, unless the car is very nose heavy. But then that would just throw off F/R balancing.
