335 hp for the GS450h is the announcement from Montreal Autoshow.
US source says it's 339 hp
I personally think the price premium for Lexus hybrids is reasonable if you take BOTH the added performance together with the improved gas mileage into account, plus it's something rare & different, but some are hesitant to try new things & still leery of hybrids. I haven't even driven one yet, not even a Prius LOL . . .

First, my comments about the GS450H..
Yes, that was one of my choices as well BUT even though its faster than the GS430, I want that *V8* rumble... Its a v6 with electric motor which doesn't produce that aggressive DEEP tone that I want..
I am leaning towards the SC, but for some reason most of my collegues at the dealership pick the GS430 over the SC. The only thing that is stopping me is the AMOUNT of mods available for the SC.. Nowhere close in terms of variety that the 3rd GEN will have... Also alot of people think the SC is a "girls" car which IMO is not...
Secondly, I don't want to purchase the SC then 1-2 years down the road maybe an SC460 comes out or a new redesign one emerges.. There is no word yet when the GS460 will be out yet... No one at my dealership even heard ANY news from Lexus corporate about a GS460..
I agree that the best bet is to wait but yet again I have my car close to stock and summer is coming up etc. etc .etc.. you know what I mean guys.
Also about the IS350, rode in it, drove it, very very nice car.. but not knocking the IS350 at all but when you go from a GS series to an IS series it is a step down for me in terms of luxury.

Whats up.......can't believe u parted out your GS, was always one of my favorites.
If ur planning to keep the car for awhile, I would definitely get the GS430 over the SC for these reasons:
The GS just came out so it has the latest features, its more sport oriented than the SC, its faster, it will have MANY more options for mods, IMO the GS modded > SC modded in terms of looks. Also every time i sat or drove in the SC, it always seemed too cramped and small inside.
BTW i thought the GS460 is coming this fall when the new LS460 goes on sale?
