Very nice. Your dad knows his cars. Will he let you drive the beast?

Not yet! Perhaps once the novelty of the whole "new car" thing wears off a tad I will be given a chance to get behind the wheel.

Looks good. I'm yet to see one of the new M5's in person. Can't wait to see you hook up the SC.

Outside looks awesome but the interior looks dated to me - with the straight dash and minimal instrumentation. I've never been in the new M5 but I have been in the new 5-series... Is it a lot different in terms of the interior?

Awesome car. Congrats to your dad. I hope he lets you drive it. Although if I owned one, no one would drive it but me.

I for one like the "less is more" look inside. Perhaps thats why i like the M's dash and interior. The iDrive is a chore to learn, but once its understood its not to cumbersome to use. But like I said, I tend to be a minimalist when it comes to interiors. Just keep it classy without giving off the appearance of a Airline cockpit!

very true, comparing to the 6 interior the 5 is really not as "smooth" to me

Congrats, the M5 is one filthy whip!! Give us all a late christmas present, and when its completely broken-in, make a few videos for us so we can hear the screaming V10!!!! Enjoy it!

Although the M5 is a nice car, I don't understand why BMW didn't make it a little more different than the regular 5 series, besides the engine, the changes are very subtle.
