Pictures of my dad's new M5
I thought I would share a few pictures of his new toy! This car is amazing! Its still in the break in period so he can't take it out of the 400 HP mode, but its still FAST. Its a "sneaky" fast though.
...my twin brothers new bucket (you will see a neon rental car somewhere in the next pictures becuase his TT is in the shop again!)...

My views on the car:
The car is still in the break in period so my dad can't take it out of 400 HP mode (you know and put it into the 500 HP mode! ) The interior is really nice! I have read some people on other forums ******* the interior... I wonder if they have really sat in an M5,it really is luxurious. My dad opted for wood trim instead of brushed aluminium and I really like the look of the wood as it contrast with the black leather. The stearing wheel is AMAZING. I have never held such a comfortable wheel before. Its thick, and... Im not sure what else to say other than you grip the wheel and you understand exactly what this car is built for! FUN. I can sit comfortably in the back seat. Infact I find the rear seats of the M5 to be more comfortable than rear seats of my mothers Jag XJ8. I also really dig the way the key works... Just have it in your pocket, touch the door handle and it unlocks. Sit down in the drivers seat and touch the start button and it starts!
As far as performance goes... my dad still has about 500 miles till he can start pushing the car. However we did get on it in the 400 hp mode a little bit (have to keep it under 5000 rpm's ) Even so, its still fast. The nice part about it is that it feels fast but it doesn't feel violently fast. You get put back in your seat but you dont really sense how quickly you are accelerating. I remember sitting back while my dad got on it and thinking that we were getting on it... maybe up to 70 mph or so, then I looked at the speedo and we were already up to 110 mph and climbing. Its hard to describe this feeling, you really should ride in one to experience it. The suspension is awesome too. It is adjustable and goes from a very cushy and daily drivable setting to a stiff performance setting that really hugs the road!!!
My dad is very pleased.

That type of sneaky fast has gotten me in trouble before...
Your dad will have to get used to watching the speedometer constantly till he gets a feel for the car...
I guess the con of too much of a good thing eh?
