oh of course, to me 3.9 and 3.7 are the same, i want full control and the perfect fun factor out of it

and mike, maybe it's not an mistake, who knows. for example, on the new is250? auto is actually yielding better gas mileage than the manual. i personally really think the auto these days are getting much much better

Yes, autos are more efficient. I have a mag article where a professional driver did faster laps in the auto 911 compared to the manual.

oh man, you don't follow me well she learned stick shift 3 yrs ago with our is300 already she's a pretty good stick driver (though at times she would do something stupid...) but unlike me, she hates to be driving a manual in LA traffic

I don't think I even know you 3 years ago I only had a few hundred posts my first full year on CL

I don't really fully understand people's big fuss about driving stick in heavy traffic here, one can get used to it & you will hardly even be aware that you're shifting.

People in Europe & Asia predominantly drive manual & in heavy traffic just as bad in large cities. All buses & most taxi's are manual there too. Some professional drivers told me they can almost fall asleep on wheels in heavy traffic when they're tired after hours of driving & can somehow know how to shift while half asleep, so how bad can it be ? LOL
