I like the gto. I didn't like it's price point. GM customers were accustomed to getting their pushrod grunt at a lower price in the form of the f-bodies.....the firebird and camaro. As a former camaro owner, I was disappointed to see the car discontinued and the gto being the only pony car type, other than the corvette, but at a higher price. I knew it wouldn't last. We'll see the f-bodies back. Probably offering 250-350hp for around 20-25K. That's what buyers of american cars want.

I don't like to see the car go either but don't forget, guys, like the 2-seater Thunderbird, the GTO was not meant to be in production for more than 3-4 years anyway. Bob Lutz told us that in 2004 when the car was first introduced.
