I know, I was just responding to magneto's post. The DTMs were euro only and a handfull were made. I don't think they'd ship them to the US without bringing the coupe along.

Limited edition of Mercedes-Benz CLK, the DTM AMG cabriolet, is almost sold out at $350K plus. Got yours yet?

AFFALTERBACH, Germany — Following in the successful footsteps of the Mercedes-Benz DTM AMG coupe, the cabriolet edition of the car is nearly gone after only a month on the market.

"Prospective customers should not delay because the limited edition is almost sold out," Mercedes-Benz said in a heady statement on Wednesday.

The CLK DTM AMG Cabriolet is equipped with a 582-hp AMG 5.5-liter V8 Kompressor engine that accelerates in 4.0 seconds from zero to 62 mph. The cabriolet delivers 590 pound-feet of torque at 3,500 rpm. The V8 is linked to an AMG Speedshift five-speed automatic transmission with AMG shift paddles on the steering wheel. Mercedes says it is the "fastest open-top four-seater in the world."

The car is outfitted with racetrack-oriented features, including AMG sports bucket seats to ensure lateral support, an oval AMG racing steering wheel, and an AMG instrument cluster.

What this means to you: Better get your money out fast if you want one of these babies.

Hmm I thought AMG is moving towards their new N/A 6.2L V8, particularly since they have a CLK63 DTM AMG Coupe already.

^^^ Werd. Plus we have seen the concept version of this convertible the summer of last year when they announced they would go ahead with it.

Even though this car is basically made for those who want just the image of the DTM and not necessarily the extreme sport like the coupe, I would so love to have this car over anything in the MB lineup.

Unlike the 110hp riced out civic with the big @$$ jumbo jet wing... That wing is there for a good reason and it's not for the looks..
